August 9 Field Day Agenda

Our Field Day is approaching fast! Next Wednesday, August 9, Native Prairie Hemp and BigYield are holding a free event to show our gratitude for our customers and growers. To do this, we have several activities planned. These include field tours, drone demonstrations, dinner, a raffle, and guest speakers. Native Prairie Hemp’s goal for Field Day is to spread awareness on sustainable farming practices and ways to improve the environment in a cost-effective way. BigYield aims to maintain healthy soil and plants, oftentimes through environmentally-friendly products and methods. They believe soil health effects plant health, which in turn effects human health. Their slogan “Plant Health Creates Farmer Wealth” exemplifies their goal to improve both health and farmer’s bottom line. Here at Native Prairie Hemp, we share a common goal: improve conditions for those around us, whether it be farmers, our community, or the planet. Our event on August 9 will explain further our goals and ways to achieve it. Below is the general agenda for Field Day this year:

3:00pm — Registration begins

3:30pm — Field tours for corn and soybeans begin, which includes a drone demonstration and guest speakers.

6:00pm — A barbecue dinner will be provided, made by Jeanne Middaugh from Granny Fay’s and The Cider House.

During Dinner: A couple guest speakers will talk, followed by a free raffle for prizes. To attend dinner and the raffle, please RSVP with the methods below.

After Dinner: The hemp portion of the evening begins, starting with speakers from the hemp industry. Included are top American producers, successful hemp business owners, and genetics experts. After, we will tour the hemp plots and answer questions. Hemp field tours are open for anyone interested in hemp or sustainability.

We hope to see you at our event! To attend, RSVP by texting (816)680-8449 or contacting your BigYield representative. Don’t miss out on this fun and free educational event!
